Naidvar Trust Donates to support Tarongo D/A Primary school.

Naidvar Trust, an international non-profit organization that is into entertainment and charity works has donated ten metallic doors, 30 pieces of dual desks, and some cultural music instruments to Tarongo D/A primary school at Zorkor a community in the Bongo District of the Upper East Region.


Speaking in a mini durbar organized in honour of the donations on Friday 25th November 2022, Mr. Augustine Akugre, the Music Director for Naidvar Trust popularly known as ‘Slow’ or ‘Konkonsa’ stated categorically that the younger ones deserve to be supported and encouraged to give out their best as they go through the journey of becoming better citizens for the country.


“Every child believes that the parents are rich and can afford everything for them, so when it happens that the parents fail to do that, the child becomes offended. This, therefore, means that everybody who can support has to come together to support in easing the burden on the parents. These little ones are the future of our community and the country.”


The music Icon and ‘konkonsa’ hitmaker who happens to be a past student of the said school, had earlier fixed 10 metallic doors and 30 pieces of dual desks for the school to replace the broken ones, he again presented some local musical instruments to the school cultural team and promised to be available to support in whatever way that he can.


He also revealed his intention to work for hand in hand with the School Improvement Team which also donated 7 desktop computers to the school on the same occasion for the betterment of education in the Zorkor community.

According to the patriotic son of the land, “Zorkor is not a small place but a big city, even an empire, we all eat son hear and passed through the hardship to get to where we are, let us show love to our community”


This took place at the school premises at Zorkor a suburb of Bongo District in the Upper East Region.

Hon. Atanga Aduko Patrick, the Assemblyman for the Tarongo and Atiabiisi electoral areas expressed his heartfelt joy over the benevolence of the groups and encouraged the school authorities to make good use of the items donated to them.


He also begged students to work hard towards the improvement of their education to become better citizens for their communities and the country at large.

The items were well received by the traditional leaders, school authorities, and the P.T.A. as each of them was eager to express how happy they were.


Representatives of the Chief and Land Lord of the community also took turns to express their joy.


The Head Master of the Primary School Mr. Akanboyure Raphel together with Mr. Abagana Abraham Headmaster of the JHS took the opportunity to thank the two groups for their benevolence towards the development of the school and also revealed that they received some teaching materials from the School Improvement Team last year and they are still grateful for their good deeds and prayed God’s blessings and protection upon them.


They also used the opportunity to appeal to parents to prioritize the education of their children and do everything possible to support them. Mr. Abraham also mentioned among other things that inadequate dual desks, computers, and access to potable drinking water as part of the challenges hampering the smooth flow of teaching and learning in the school and appealed to authorities to come to their aid.


The Event climaxed with a cultural performance including poetry recitations by the students and the school authorities also gifted the two groups with socks as a sign of appreciation.
